Please Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself

Hello again and sorry it took so long. Here's the deal; the day before Election Day (and, yeah, Viva Obama) I started getting sick and it hung in there, in various degrees of severity until just after Xmas. First it was the flu, then strep throat, walking pneumonia and finally sinusitis.  Truth is, I still feel like crap, have probably lost 15 pounds and have yet to clear either my throat or my not so insubstantial nose. Yeah yeah yeah, poor me. Not looking for pity. I treated it, as I always do w/caffeine and nicotine and I'm doing just swell. Just wanted to let y'all know that I didn't give up or capitulate to the Mad Typist That isJim.

As for the promised Killers piece. It's coming. I know I've said that before but this time I mean it. I've got 37 handwritten pages in a notebook at home. The Killers aren't even mentioned until page 18, so it's gonna need a little whittlin' when it's done. That's right I'm actually rewriting and editing. Apparently the synthpop rage of the 21st Century cause me to ask myself interesting questions about the randomness of nature, the question of commitments to - among other things - excellence and why I rarely write about my alcoholism.

This one might actually be worth a wait.

Hope everybody had good holidays. My gift to y'all was NOT writing my annual Xmas Pissoff. I haven't changed my mind, I'm just keeping some stuff to myself in an effort to, I don't know become a better person.

Curse you, Barak Obama. Blew the curve for EVERYBODY!!!!!!

The date for the Tension Envelope reunion has been set. April 4, 2009 Valley Theater, Fowler Colorado. Be there. The gig will be digitally recorded thanks to my good friend Elaine who got me a Tascam MR8 digital recorder for Xmas. I'm still learning how to use it and will post a new tune here as soon as I can.

Not much to report. Only that I hope this page can one day be my 'celebrate Mott the Hoople' place again. Or at least that the rancor stops. It truly can be a new day. Just like every other day, the choices are ours. Me, I'm gonna shut up now.

Holy crap, tim, how could you possibly lose 15 MORE pounds???

BTW, have you heard that the original Mott's (i.e., w/ Hunter AND Ralphs) doing a reunion concert in London (in March, I think)?

And yes, I WILL be in attendance at the Valley Theatre. :D I probably won't get there until late Thursday morning, but there's time to negotiate.

And as far as Obama so far: Hate most of his cabinet choices, but have been pleasantly surprised by many other decisions so far (shut down Gitmo, refocus on infrastructure, and -- wait a minute -- a Democrat cutting taxes??? Funny how distasteful that was when George was doing it. :P)

BTW, speaking of blasts from the past I have you to thank for, currently listening to Dead Fingers Talk -- Storm the Reality Studios. It's holding up REALLY well.

Honkin' on Bobo Phoenix! :D

gotta admire Obama's attempts to be bipartisan in his cabinet choices-
since this isn't a monarchy (despite years and years of trying to increase the President's authority at the expense of all others) I'm afraid that Obama will really able to "do" a limited amount before Washington politics-as-usual squeezes all the hopefulness back into the shapeless, mindless, miasma that normally defines national policies / politics. I hope I'm wrong!

"gotta admire Obama's attempts to be bipartisan in his cabinet choices- ..."

I think that has something to do with even him realizing that he needs at least a sprinkle of competence on his team.

agreed - that's the democrats, there for competence. The republicans are there as counterweights. (hope they don't turn out to be ballast)

"agreed - that's the democrats, there for competence"

I'm sure all the babies just entered into the butchery, from Obama's executive order today to overturn the overseas abortion ban, will take issue with your assertion of Democrats as competent. And Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesus Christ cringed when he unbanned it.

I think Obama should adopt for his theme song is Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer".

obama is already one of the worst presidents ever, objectively speaking.

And he still doesn't give straight answers on anything.

Just read this link

http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/obama_abortion_policy/2009/01/23/174721.html

and sent Obama this email:

Mr. Obama,

You are a disgrace to yourself, to your family, to MLK, and to your country. Your striking down of the ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions, is a horrible action beyond measure. You are a horrible father and a horrible president. I wish you the absolute worst of luck and my prayer is that you will be out of office very soon.

Sincerely,
James Muglia

And I'll bet that you hippy-types would not have even heard of this action he took, if it was not for me.

So, you can all stop having your orgasms over a Chicago street thug loser, anytime now.

And God does not want us to pray for him to succeed; that would be wrong. He wants us to pray that he fails and leaves office ASAP. He already chose the path of evil, so we need to pray that he is out of power soon so that he can spread his evil as little as possible.

Yeah, I know you don't know if there is a God, Tim. Shutup and get real, you foul-mouthed, bar-churched, low-life, rock-star-worshipping weasel.

did you mean hippie? ... To be a hippie you must believe in peace as the way to resolve differences among peoples, ideologies and religions...
To be "hippy" you just need big hips.
Do you drool when frothing at the mouth? Just curious...

I wonder if Jesus drooled when He tipped over the monychagners tables? Either way, He did the right thing.

Tim's vote: for butcher to get in power.

Carl's vote: allowed butcher to get in power.

Laster's vote: allowed butcher to get in power.

Jim's vote: voted AGAINST butcher getting into power, by voting for the pro-life candidate with the best chance to beat Obama.

Glad I can sleep good at night on that. Sorry the same can't be said for yourselves.

Time to start a new blog Tim. This guy has no concept of what "broken
record" means. And no tolerance for any views but his own.

"And no tolerance for any views but his own."

That is the standard hypocritical cop-out statement of people who have no tolerance for conservative Christians.

And it's ideas that we do not tolerate, not people. We love all people; but we hate bad ideas that hurt them and others.

Tim here.
Been sick for real and am really getting sick of coming here and reading Jim. Reunion on for the 4th of April. All politicians are liars, as are all men and women. Obama's been in office 17 days. Let the man find the fucking bathrooms, OK?

Sleep well pinhead. And long.
